This policy explains what information HATCH collects when you use the HATCH marketplace, how we use it, and who can see it.
1. Information we collect
- Account details — your name, email address, company or brand name, and whether you joined as a founder or a supplier.
- Founder profile — your sourcing preferences (for example the product categories you're interested in) and any optional details you add, such as your role, location, phone number or LinkedIn profile.
- Supplier profile — company and factory information, products, photos, and business documents such as GST, PAN, licences and certificates.
- Activity on HATCH — sourcing requests, responses, saved suppliers and messages between founders and suppliers.
2. How we use it
- To run your account and the marketplace.
- To review supplier applications and the documents submitted for verification.
- To show approved suppliers to founders and send founders' sourcing requests to suppliers in the matching categories.
- To support you when you contact us, and to keep HATCH safe from misuse.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Who can see your information
- Approved supplier profiles are public — company details, products, public photos and HATCH-verified certifications. Suppliers who are not approved are not shown to anyone except HATCH.
- Supplier documents are private. Uploaded business documents are visible only to the supplier and to HATCH reviewers. Founders never see the files.
- Founders — suppliers invited to your sourcing request see the request and your brand name. In a conversation, the supplier sees your name, brand name and profile photo.
- Service providers — we store data with Supabase (servers in Mumbai, India) and host the website with Vercel. They process data only to provide these services to us.
4. Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your information while your account is open. To correct your information, or to close your account and have your data deleted, email support@hatch.app. Some records — such as reports made about a conversation — may be kept where needed to keep the platform safe.
